Job summary

Scrumconnect Consulting in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom, is seeking a platform operations engineer to support the AutoSys Workload Automation estate for DWP batch scheduling. You will provide operational support, incident resolution, and participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota to maintain service availability.

Key responsibilities include maintaining BHOM and BHCO, optimizing the BMC Helix platform, contributing to on-call resilience, and developing Infrastructure as Code solutions

Qualifications

• Experience with BMC Helix Operations Manager and capacity optimisation.
• Experience with BMC Helix Discovery and platform maintenance.
• Infrastructure as Code experience required or desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational support for the AutoSys Workload Automation estate.
• Maintain and optimise the BMC Helix platform suite.
• Contribute to out-of-hours support arrangements and improve team resilience.
• Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions supporting Flexera SaaS integration.
• Provide engineering expertise and leadership to enable strategic workstreams while BAU services run smoothly.
• Support service availability, stability and operational effectiveness across DWP tooling services.
