Job Description:

Market-leading telecommunications organization requires an experienced Senior Project Manager to join on a contract basis.

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing supplier, stakeholder, and customer relationships while assisting with the implementation of a new billing solution project involving data migration and some UAT management.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with onsite attendance 2 days per week in Galway City. With a supportive working environment and generous daily rates, this role is a great opportunity for Project Managers to expand their experience with government or semi-sector clients.

Responsibilities of the role:

1. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define and understand the project scope.
2. Identify and schedule all work required to fulfill the scope, building a detailed project plan.
3. Plan projects in detail to ensure integration, dependencies, and milestones are clear.
4. Ensure compliance with Quality Policy, including review periods and quality gates.
5. Identify non-people resources to keep the project budget accurate and affordable.
6. Implement risk and issue management processes, including mitigation and contingency plans.
7. Establish and manage effective project reporting to measure performance.
8. Lead procurement schedules, engaging the right suppliers for each project.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Third-level degree or postgraduate qualification in Technology, Finance, or Business Management.
• Project Management Certification – Prince2, PMP.
• At least five years' experience as an intermediate-level IT project manager handling diverse stakeholders, using formal methodologies like PRINCE2 or ITIL.
• Experience implementing two large, complex IT projects within budget and timelines.
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies/products (especially Cisco), Microsoft Azure/365, and general understanding of Enterprise IT Architecture.
• Experience leading cross-organizational collaboration to deliver IT change.
