Job summary

Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Information Governance Officer to lead the day-to-day information governance and DSPT compliance across the Trust. You will coordinate external submissions, audits, and assurance activities, while supporting information asset management and risk controls.

The role requires strong IG expertise, data protection knowledge, and the ability to deliver training and guidance across clinical and corporate areas.

Qualifications

• First degree or equivalent experience in Information Governance in public sector or similar.
• Experience of working in information governance or governance/compliance.
• Experience facilitating audits and follow-up.
• Ability to distill complex conversations into summaries or data capture tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead DSPT submissions, audits and compliance assessments.
• Produce IG reports, dashboards and management information with trend analysis.
• Maintain IG action trackers and progress against targets.
• Lead IG training outcomes and provide specialist advice on data protection and information security.
