Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to lead facilities planning and layout design for manufacturing plants, warehouses, and distribution centers. The role emphasizes optimized material flow, ergonomic solutions, and safe, efficient layouts.

You will model designs with AutoCAD and Arena/FlexSim, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and construction teams to support expansion and productivity goals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with facilities planning and layout focus.
• Proficiency in CAD software for layout design (AutoCAD or similar).
• Experience with factory simulation tools (Arena, FlexSim).
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, ergonomics, and material handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of facility layouts for plants, warehouses, and DCs.
• Develop material flow strategies for efficient goods movement.
• Model layouts using CAD and simulation tools for validation.
• Conduct ergonomic assessments to enhance worker safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and construction teams through project lifecycles.
• Perform capacity planning and space utilization studies for expansion.
• Develop timelines, budgets, and resource requirements for layout projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, building codes, and environmental standards.
• Prepare technical documentation and presentations for management.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on layout principles.
