Job summary

Bury Voluntary Community & Faith Alliance is seeking a Senior Capacity Development Officer to strengthen connection, belonging and collaboration across communities of identity, place and experience in Bury. You will support VCFS organisations, local networks and partners to build trust, create inclusive spaces and co-design solutions to shared challenges.

Qualifications

• Lead community connection, belonging and shared purpose across communities of place, race and faith.
• Build understanding of Bury’s communities, assets and inequalities using asset-based approaches.
• Support community-led initiatives to strengthen relationships and belonging across differences.
• Facilitate safe, inclusive spaces for dialogue, learning and relationship-building.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multiple funded programmes focused on connection, inclusion and belonging.
• Shape grant priorities, criteria and outreach to ensure accessibility and rootedness in community need.
• Manage programme budgets, monitoring and reporting, forecasting spend and outcome delivery.
• Develop forums and networks to strengthen community voice and influence policy and service design.
