Job summary

VRS Recruitment is seeking a Senior Scientist – Immunology/Translational Research to join its Immunology Research team, within the Resolution of Inflammation focus area. The role involves designing experiments to understand target biology and mechanisms of action of novel therapeutics.

The candidate will work with multidisciplinary teams, develop translational in vitro and ex vivo assays, and analyse complex datasets including RNA-seq, scRNA-seq and proteomics.

Qualifications

• PhD in immunology or related field with postdoc experience.
• Experience with translational immunology projects and disease models.
• Hands-on experience with primary human cells and ex vivo assays.

Responsibilities

• Design and run translational in vitro and ex vivo assays.
• Work with primary human cells to develop disease models.
• Utilise immunology techniques including flow cytometry, qPCR and RNA-based analyses.
• Analyse large datasets from RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics and proteomics.
• Contribute to strategy across drug discovery and early development.
