Job summary

Chaucer Syndicates Ltd is seeking an Exposure Management Technical Specialist (ILS) to design non-standard reinsurance treaties and lead internal reviews. You will collaborate with the RI Purchasing and Exposure Management teams to deliver advanced analytics and protect the portfolio.

The role requires strong statistical skills, SQL, and programming in R/Python, with experience in catastrophe modelling tools. You will engage stakeholders and help automate processes within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Experience in Exposure Management and Catastrophe Risk.
• Ability to explain technical information to varied audiences.
• Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance financial terms and structures, traditional and non-traditional.

Responsibilities

• Design non-standard RI (ILS) treaties and lead internal technical reviews.
• Lead Exposure Management activities for non-standard RI (ILS) with reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Support development of pricing and aggregation systems for Exposure Management tasks and analytics.
• Lead portfolio optimisation work for catastrophe classes using advanced statistical techniques.
• Provide ad hoc catastrophe modelling support and contribute to automation and process improvements.
