Job summary

Chaucer is seeking a senior leader in catastrophe modelling and exposure management to deliver analytics and communication of the catastrophe portfolio. The role involves modelling, regulatory returns, and high-level interaction with senior stakeholders across underwriting and actuarial teams.

You will oversee netting down, portfolio blueprints, and cross-functional analytics improvements within a global Lloyd’s insurer.

Qualifications

• Experience within Exposure Management or Catastrophe Modelling or Actuarial Pricing Capital Modelling teams.
• People management experience and ability to lead a team.
• Exposure Regulatory experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver insightful portfolio analysis and reporting to internal stakeholders.
• Drive change through analytics and portfolio optimisation.
• Lead development and management of Portfolio stochastic and deterministic cat appetites for Nat and Non-Nat Cat.
• Oversee Outwards Reinsurance netting down and design of modelling and net position movement analysis.
• Provide portfolio outputs for modelling provided to Outwards Reinsurers.
• Produce Group-level cat Net blueprints to support strategy and planning.
