Job summary

Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets is seeking an experienced Senior Actuarial Analyst to lead IFRS17 reporting activities, deliver quarterly submissions to Group, and enhance reporting infrastructure in the UK. You will review balance sheets, P&L, and drive improvements across Reserving and Reporting tasks.

The role requires deep IFRS17 knowledge, strong modelling skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff while collaborating with Finance and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with IFRS17 reporting requirements and related regulatory frameworks.
• 4+ years in an actuarial reporting role, preferably in London Market.
• Strong mathematical and statistical background for financial reporting.
• Experience with or interest in automating actuarial processes to meet deadlines.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and build cross-functional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly IFRS17 reporting process to meet deadlines with high-quality results.
• Prepare and validate IFRS17 data submissions for Group reporting with required scope and detail.
• Review IFRS17 balance sheets and P&L, and develop local validation tools.
• Analyze IFRS17 vs UK GAAP/SII to support stakeholder understanding of impacts.
• Present IFRS17 results to Local and Group stakeholders with clear drivers and bridging to other bases.
• Collaborate with Finance and other teams to ensure coherent actuarial deliverables.
• Monitor data quality and resolve data quality issues across the reporting cycle.
• Support enhancements to the reporting IT landscape and data flows.
• Promote IFRS17 knowledge across actuarial, finance, and related staff.
• Assist with other Reserving and Reporting tasks across MRSL and GSI4.
• Support good Conduct and customer outcomes in reporting processes.
