Job summary

Walkers is seeking a Senior Counsel to join its Channel Islands IFC practice in Guernsey. You will help expand cross-border IFC initiatives and develop client relationships across the firm’s global IFC network, with potential progression toward partnership.

The role emphasizes high autonomy, cross-border execution, and contribution to know-how and client service within a leading investment funds and corporate practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 7 years' investment funds and/or corporate PQE.
• Excellent academics and commercially driven.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative, team-focused with client relationship mindset.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications and billing systems.

Responsibilities

• Senior Counsel in IFC Practice in Guernsey.
• Assist expansion and growth of the Guernsey IFC practice, align with cross-border firm initiatives.
• Develop and manage client relationships; meet potential new clients and intermediaries in London; travel regularly.
• Contribute to know-how, conferences, seminars and internal training.
• Provide technically sound advice and responsive client service.
• Maintain revenue generation, profitability and utilisation targets; adhere to billing rates.
• Uphold the Firm's values and resolve conflicts proactively.
