Job summary

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist ICU/Acute to join our Therapy Services. You will manage a demanding caseload across ICU and acute wards, providing advanced SLT assessment and intervention for patients with complex communication and swallowing needs.

The role is full-time, 12 months fixed-term, with shift patterns Monday to Friday 8am-4pm or 10am-6pm, and some cross-coverage as service needs require.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate specialist skills in communication and swallowing assessment and therapy.
• Ability to work independently within a MDT in critical care and acute wards.
• Experience in supervision or training of therapists or students.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage complex communication and swallowing needs in ICU and acute wards.
• Provide expert SLT input to MDT on neurological/medical patients and equipment-related challenges.
• Deputise for SLT Lead when required and contribute to training and service development.
• Deliver supervision and coaching to other therapists and students.
