Job summary

Essex County Fire and Rescue Service is seeking an ICT Technical Services Manager to lead our team of technical analysts and deliver critical ICT solutions that keep services running 24/7.

You will drive ITIL practices, oversee incidents and changes, and coordinate across applications, networks, cloud infrastructure and cyber security to support desktop, CAD, and Fire Control systems in our on-site operation at Rivenhall.

Qualifications

• Experience leading third line ICT service teams.
• Proficiency across applications, networks, cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity.
• Experience managing desktop/infrastructure services, CAD and integrated communication systems in Fire Control rooms.
• Experience with cloud data centres and SaaS/PaaS environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices including change enablement and problem management, with involvement in major incident management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ICT technical analysts delivering and managing critical ICT solutions.
• Oversee ITIL processes such as change enablement and problem management; participate in major incident management.
• Develop and coordinate across disciplines: applications, networks, cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity.
• Support desktop/infrastructure services and integrated fire control systems in operational environments.
