Job summary

EDF Energy is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer to lead on-site modifications on the Siemens SPPA-T2000 platform at the Hinkley Point C project. You will drive impact assessments, changes, and configuration control, while guiding a team of engineers and coordinating with Siemens specialists to ensure safe, reliable commissioning.

You will oversee I&C programming, design checks, and rigorous testing, updating engineering records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex Instrumentation and Control systems in industrial environments.
• Knowledge of Siemens SPPA-T2000 in an engineering setting.
• Ability to assess impact of hardware/software changes on control systems.
• Strong understanding of process signals, logic processing and alarm management.
• Experience with quality and configuration management processes.
• Degree in engineering or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site modifications across the Siemens SPPA-T2000 Standard I&C platform.
• Manage impact assessments, engineering changes and configuration control activities.
• Oversee I&C programming activities and design consistency checks.
• Support verification, validation and functional testing before design releases.
• Mentor engineers and work with commissioning teams and Siemens specialists.
• Support updates to engineering records, diagrams and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with commissioning, electrical and system engineering teams.
• Support Siemens specialists during detailed design activities.
• Highlight risks, opportunities and delivery challenges to support project success.
