Job summary

Haskoning Environment Resilience Renewables Group in the UK is seeking a Senior/Principal Hydrologist to lead hydrological analyses supporting hydraulic modelling for major infrastructure and renewables projects. The role focuses on urban and rural flood risk, nature-based solutions and river restoration.

You will collaborate with clients and regulators, apply FEH methodologies, and mentor junior staff while contributing to project delivery and financial management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in analytical subject (Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Earth Sciences or Physical Geography).
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in hydrological studies and catchment analysis.
• Strong understanding of UK flood risk policies and FEH methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydrology and flood risk analyses for hydraulic modelling projects.
• Provide specialist hydrological input to support Flood Risk Assessments.
• Write clear, concise technical reports for varied audiences.
• Mentor junior staff and manage project resources and contracts.
