Job summary

Stantec is recruiting a Senior Hydrogeologist to join our UK water team with the flexibility to base yourself at Reading, High Wycombe, Shrewsbury, Birmingham, Glasgow or Edinburgh. You will lead hydrogeological work across diverse projects for UK and international clients, shaping outcomes through clear communication and collaboration.

You will hold a Hydrogeology MSc, a relevant PhD, or bring substantial post-graduate experience.

Qualifications

• Hydrogeology MSc or PhD, or substantial post‑grad experience delivering hydrogeology projects.
• Comfort navigating regulatory, business and policy environments for clients.
• Strong written and oral communication and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver hydrogeological work across a range of project types for UK and international clients.
• Communicate findings clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop junior hydrogeologists within the team.
• Engage in field-based monitoring, drilling supervision, pumping test design and analysis, data analytics, and numerical groundwater modelling.
