Qualifications

• Deep understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic system design.
• Hands-on experience with gearbox or powertrain hydraulics.
• Strong CAD skills; Siemens NX preferred.
• Background in motorsport, aerospace, or precision engineering.
• Clear communication and collaboration across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept, design, and detailing of hydraulic, pneumatic components across powertrain and chassis.
• Design and integrate gearbox hydraulic systems and circuits.
• Perform stress, flow, and sizing calculations with clear documentation.
• Conduct design reviews with Principal Engineer and Head of Department.
• Deputise for the Principal Engineer when required.
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects from design through manufacture, testing and on-car validation.
• Support design checking and peer reviews, ensuring compliance with performance specs.
• Mentor junior engineers in fluid system design and integration best practices.
