Job summary
SER Limited, a UK-based hydraulic engineering company, seeks an experienced Service Engineer to join their Middlesbrough-based team. The role involves field service across on-site sites, with responsibilities spanning from tracing hydraulic circuits to leading on-site activities and providing technical support for bids and key accounts.
The ideal candidate has 7 years of hydraulic experience, Level 3 technical qualifications, Level 2 hydraulics, and a full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
- 7 years' hydraulic experience.
- Level 3 technical qualifications (BTEC/ONC) required.
- Level 2 Hydraulics qualification required.
- Full UK Driving Licence essential.
- Ability to learn and adapt in a field service role.
- Hydraulic design knowledge including parts, materials and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Produce test procedures from hydraulic circuits.
- Produce detailed technical reports on client systems.
- Trace hydraulic systems and sketch circuits and part lists.
- Plan and mobilise equipment, materials and resources for sites.
- Assemble and test hydraulic manifolds and power units.
- Lead site activities including pressure testing and flushing.
- Carry out FATs and SATs on site.
- Support bids and key accounts when required.
- Train and develop others on hydraulic systems.
- Identify upgrades and replacements as needed.
