Job description

My Client, a market leading Environmental Consultancy based in the South West, are searching for a Senior Hydraulic Modeller to join their supportive team based in Sheffield.

Role Overview

As a Senior Hydraulic Modeller, you are required to have a strong academic background and experience working for a UK-based Consultancy specialising in flood risk assessments and hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.

It is also beneficial for applicants to reside in Sheffield and have experience completing drainage strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Hydraulic modelling and model build using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
2. Conduct flood risk assessments, flood consequence assessments, and nutrient neutrality assessments.
3. Perform hydrological assessments.
4. Engage in natural flood management, wetland management, and re-wilding projects.
5. Create flood risk mapping and estimation.
6. Support new team members and review technical flood risk and complex hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
7. Maintain frequent liaison with Private Sector Clients and Local Authorities to develop opportunities and ensure project delivery within time and budget.
