Job description

We are seeking a Senior Hydraulic Modeller to join a large international team in Sheffield, Manchester, or Leeds, United Kingdom. You will be working as part of a growing and successful Flood Risk / Hydrology team with a big focus on Natural Flood Management, EA frameworks, and international water projects.

This consultancy is currently looking for a Senior Modeller who has a strong background in the flood sector. You will be providing technical models and engineering solutions for clients such as private developers, local authorities, and Environment Agencies. The team is currently working on Flood alleviation schemes, river restoration, reservoir hydraulic models, Sustainable Urban Drainage, and catchment modelling. They have an international client base for which they provide technical guidance for 10 rivers the size of the River Severn in Peru.

As a Senior, you will have technically sound knowledge with TUFLOW and flood hydraulic modelling software to guide junior modellers and provide technical guidance. This team is looking for someone who can start to diversify to gain more experience not only in modelling but in the whole water sector and can provide training and exposure. If you have come from an engineering background and have good modelling experience, my client would be interested in you.

Experience

1. Technically sound flood modelling and flood risk experience.
2. Professionally qualified or on route with CEng, CIWEM.
3. Key experience with TUFLOW, GIS, and Flood Modeller Pro.
