Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to lead the technical delivery of hydraulic studies across a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater projects. The role supports feasibility through to detailed design and construction, based in Edinburgh, Glasgow or Inverness.

You will develop hydraulic models, provide guidance on pumping systems and conveyance assets, and mentor junior engineers while helping drive best practice and project delivery.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Hydraulic Engineering or related discipline.
Experience delivering hydraulic projects in the UK water sector or similar regulated infrastructure.
Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, hydraulic structures and transient analysis.

Responsibilities

Delivering hydraulic studies (steady state and transient) across water infrastructure projects.
Developing and reviewing hydraulic models, calculations and technical reports using HADES, VARISM, Flow-3D or equivalent.
Providing technical guidance on pumping systems, hydraulic structures and conveyance assets.
