Job summary
Stantec is seeking a Hydraulic Engineer to support hydraulic projects across the full lifecycle for water sector clients in Scotland. You will work with experienced engineers to deliver practical, innovative solutions in Edinburgh, Glasgow or Inverness.
You will develop hydraulic models, run steady state and transient analyses, prepare reports, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust designs. Hybrid/flexible working is available.
Qualifications
- Degree in civil/mechanical/hydraulic engineering or related discipline.
- Interest in hydraulic engineering and UK water sector careers.
- Understanding of fluid mechanics and hydraulic principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Support hydraulic studies, calculations and technical assessments.
- Develop and analyse hydraulic models using specialised software.
- Assist with steady state and transient analysis and investigations.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings and documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and stakeholders.
- Support site investigations, design reviews and project delivery.
- Develop technical capability through mentoring and hands-on experience.
