Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Design Manager for HVAC and building services based in Tewkesbury. You will own the pre-contract design, develop detailed Revit models, and produce cost estimates to support tenders and proposals.

The role involves collaborating with clients, engineers and commercial teams to ensure designs are compliant, commercially viable and ready for delivery. Salary £55,000-£60,000 plus bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC, mechanical building services, M&E or related construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Experience in building services design, specification and/or pre-construction.
• Proficiency with Revit and CAD/design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-contract design process for HVAC and associated plumbing systems.
• Develop detailed technical designs, specifications and layouts using Revit.
• Produce design calculations, technical documentation and cost estimates for tenders.
• Review client requirements and develop compliant building services solutions.
• Prepare technical drawings, models and bid documentation for tenders.
