Mint Selection is seeking a Senior HV Engineer – Technical Authority in London (hybrid) to lead technical assurance for substations, transmission connections and HV infrastructure across the project lifecycle. The role will guide design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operations to ensure safe delivery and long-term asset performance.

The successful candidate will influence project delivery practices, manage interfaces with grid operators, and drive readiness for project handover

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in large-scale energy infrastructure development and construction.
• Experience delivering transmission infrastructure, solar PV and/or BESS projects in the UK.
• Experience supporting design, construction, commissioning or operation of transmission-connected substations up to 132kV or above.
• Experience with FATs, installation and commissioning of HV equipment.
• Familiarity with HV Rules.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and managing Owners Engineer deliverables.
• Ability to communicate clearly and influence.

Responsabilités

• Act as the company’s technical authority for substations, transmission connections and HV infrastructure across the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and assurance through development, procurement, construction, commissioning and operations.
• Maintain design review and technical assurance processes via Owner’s Engineer service.
• Oversee FATs, supplier audits and quality inspections for critical equipment packages.
• Support commissioning strategies, energisation plans and operational readiness activities.
