Jacobs UK is expanding its Power & Energy team and seeks a Senior Associate Director HV Cable System to support high-profile projects across our portfolio. You will lead design delivery for Cable System Projects up to 400kV, from tendering through to handover.

You will develop HV/EHV cabling specifications, provide technical support, prepare technical specifications and reports, ensure interface integrity, and perform critical calculations and design reviews to meet CDM and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Power Engineering.
• Experience in consultancy, contractor or utility in the energy sector.
• Extensive experience in a cable related role supporting FEED design and/or detailed design.
• Able to manage and lead HV/EHV cable designs at all project stages.

Responsabilités

• Develop HV/EHV cabling systems specifications, concept/detailed design and design review, estimation, site supervision and support as required.
• Provide technical support to the team on all aspects of HV cable system engineering and design.
• Prepare plant and equipment technical specification, power cable route specifications, tender specifications, technical and progress reports.
• Ensure correct interface with other engineering functions, attend meetings with colleagues, clients and subcontractors.
• Perform technical calculations including cable size, rating, TMF/EMF, sheath induced voltage.
