Job summary

AWC Group is looking for a Senior Authorised Person to support high voltage electrical projects across the UK, ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have SAP authorisation at 11kV, 33kV, or 132kV on a UK DNO network and experience in substation construction or HV commissioning. This permanent position offers a salary between £60,000 to £90,000 per annum and includes several benefits like a company car, health care plan, and 25 days annual leave.

Qualifications

• Proven competency at 11kV, 33kV, or 132kV
• Experience with HV/LV electrical engineering projects
• Knowledge of safety regulations and outage planning

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute HV switching schedules using PowerOn
• Isolate and earth high voltage apparatus safely
• Issue Permits to Work and Limitations of Access
• Attend client meetings to resolve operational issues
• Mentor junior engineers and support project planning

Skills

SAP authorisation at 11kV, 33kV, or 132kV

Experience in substation construction, HV commissioning, or network maintenance

Strong knowledge of electrical engineering

Excellent communication skills

Full UK driving licence

Education

HNC / Degree in Electrical Engineering
