Job summary

Engage Recruitment Ltd is assisting with the recruitment of a Senior SHEQ Advisor for an established engineering business in Ayrshire. The role offers progression to a SHEQ Manager, with hands-on responsibility on the shop floor and across Health & Safety, Environment and Quality.

You will maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 systems, lead risk assessments, COSHH reviews, incident investigations, audits and root-cause analysis, and deliver concise weekly H&S and Quality reports to management.

Qualifications

• Experience in HSEQ/SHEQ roles such as advisor, officer or specialist.
• Hands-on operational environment experience in engineering, manufacturing or construction.
• Willingness to take ownership and progress toward a SHEQ Manager role.
• Experience maintaining and improving ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 systems and drive continual improvement.
• Lead risk assessments, COSHH reviews and incident investigations.
• Conduct audits, root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Produce concise weekly H&S and Quality reporting for management.
• Operate on the shop floor and influence safety, environment and quality practices.
