Job summary

Group55 Ltd is seeking an experienced Head of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) to provide strategic and operational leadership across the business. You will drive governance, compliance, risk control, and a strong safety culture, supporting operations, customers and suppliers.

The role involves leading HSE improvements, audits, incident investigations, and KPI reporting, with cross-functional collaboration across Production, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and Purchasing.

Qualifications

• : Must have HSE management experience in FMCG/manufacturing environments
• : Experience in incident investigations, environmental controls, and KPI reporting
• : Knowledge of SQDMC, KPI routines, and structured problem solving is advantageous
• : IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent training is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the HSE improvement roadmap and governance framework.
• Maintain legal compliance, audit readiness, and clear HSE records.
• Set HSE standards and translate them into practical controls and training.
• Lead accident/near-miss investigations and ensure effective corrective actions.
• Support customer-facing HSE and environmental matters with factual input.
• Review requirements from customers and contractors for HSE controls.
• Lead risk assessments, inspections, contractor controls, and change controls.
• Own the HSE element of SQDMC routines and KPI reporting.
• Develop and report HSE KPIs, trends, and escalation points.
• Support environmental improvement roadmaps and potential accreditations.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce risk and waste while improving safety.
