Job summary

SJS Recruitment is seeking a dynamic Health, Safety & Environment Manager to head up the HSE function for a well established FMCG manufacturing business. You will report to the Site Director and lead cross‑functional engagement to embed best practices, support audits and drive a positive behavioural safety culture on site.

The role requires experience in a similar FMCG environment, strong knowledge of CDM regulations and NEBOSH/IOSH certification, with a proven track record of improving HSE

Qualifications

• Experience leading HSE in FMCG manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and compliance.
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee HSE initiatives across the site.

Job description

We are looking for a dynamic Health, Safety & Environment Manager to head up the function for a well established FMCG Manufacturing business.

Reporting into the Site Director, this is an opportunity to put HSE at the heart of the business, pulling together all the HSE activity on site, working cross-functionally to engage and coach staff in best practice, support with audits and really drive and deliver the behavioural safety culture.

This will be a varied and exciting role leading a wide range of H&S initiatives. Responsibilities include the development and implementation of a wide range of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and industry standards, root cause analysis and reporting of incidents; and leading the continuous improvement culture across the site.

The position will suit individuals with experience in a similar FMCG Manufacturing environment, an understanding of CDM regulations, NEBOSH / IOSH certification and a proven track record of driving positive improvements in terms of HSE activities.
