Job summary

Walker & Sloan is recruiting an experienced HSE Manager to support a major hyperscale data centre project in Hayes, West London. The role is hands-on, involving on-site leadership, risk assessment reviews and ensuring compliance with legal, client and company requirements.

You will engage with site operatives through to senior management, delivering inductions, toolbox talks and continuous improvement of HSE processes in a complex mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a construction HSE professional on large, fast-paced projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 and practical site controls.
• Ability to challenge unsafe behaviour professionally and constructively.

Responsibilities

• Support project team in implementing robust HSE standards across all activities.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and behavioural observations; ensure closure of actions.
• Investigate incidents/near misses and drive root-cause analyses.
• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and workforce briefings to subcontractors.
• Develop and enhance HSE processes for a mission-critical environment.
