Job summary

First Recruitment Group in Talacre, North Wales, is seeking a Senior HSE Engineer to lead safety management across the Liverpool Bay Project (Decommissioning & Carbon Capture and Storage). This on-site role requires CDM experience and background in Oil & Gas or energy transition projects, including regulatory compliance and incident investigations.

You will report to the Project HSE manager, defining procedures, performing audits, and coordinating HSE deliverables with suppliers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Qualification in HSE or engineering related field.
• Nebosh Diploma required.
• 3–7 years Oil & Gas onshore project experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, define and supervise HSE procedures at project and construction level.
• Lead Risk Management process (i.e. HAZOP, HAZID, Hazard and Effect Management Process, Risk Assessment, etc.)
• Support implementation and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
• Plan and conduct internal HSE audits
• Coordinate and prepare HSE files and other deliverables following CDM regulations
• Lead accident / incident investigation
• Complete supplier HSE evaluations, readiness reviews and review supplier HSE documents to ensure they meet the Project requirements
• Cover for HSE Trainer, PTW Officer and HSE Officer
• Record, coordinate and monitor HSE Performance and KPI's

Job description

Talacre, North Wales – 5 days per week on site with occasional Saturday mornings as and when required

As Senior HSE Engineer you will report to the Project HSE manager. You will ensure the correct development, management and improvement of the safety management system throughout the engineering and development phases (EPIC Projects) of our Liverpool Bay Project (Decommissioning & Carbon Capture and Storage).

The ideal candidate will have experience within CDM and also suitable Oil & Gas/ Energy Transition projects such as Refineries, Waste to Energy, power plants.

• Plan, define and supervise HSE procedures at project and construction level
• Lead Risk Management process (i.e. HAZOP, HAZID, Hazard and Effect Management Process, Risk Assessment, etc.)

What are we looking for?

• Education: Qualification in HSE or engineering related field, Nebosh diploma
• Experience: 3-7 years in the Oil & Gas industry and onshore projects with activities in construction design regulation management and survey/investigation
