Job summary

Framatome Ltd in Bridgwater is seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor for the Hinkley Point C project. The role is permanent, 37.5 hours per week, on-site with a 10/4 pattern including weekend work.

You will report to the Project HSE Manager and drive safety performance and compliance across construction activities. Requirements include NEBOSH General and NEBOSH Construction certificates and 5–10 years of occupational health and safety advisory experience.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH National General in Occupational Safety and Health.
• NEBOSH National Construction in Occupational Safety and Health.
• 5 to 10 years working as an Occupational Health Safety Advisor.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Project Health Safety and Environmental Manager on Health Safety and Environmental issues, performance and areas that require improvement.
• Producing reports as required to the Project Health Safety and Environmental Manager.
• Support Framatome's Site Supervision in Occupational Health Safety and Environmental Matters.
• Co-ordination and co-operation with the Principal Contractor.
• Support Framatome's Subcontractors and others on Health Safety and Environmental issues.
• Monitoring compliance with, and enforcing, site safety rules and procedures.
• Ensuring adherence to UK Legislation & regulations and the client's procedures and standards.
• Reviewing method statements and risk assessments including Subcontractors' documentation.
• Monitoring Subcontractors' activities against approved method statements and risk assessments.
• Attend daily Health Safety and Environment Morning / End of day meetings.
• Attend Health Safety and Environment Team briefs.
• Performing investigations into Accidents or Near Misses.
• Carry out onsite work place inspections.
