Job summary

Snc-Lavalin is looking for a highly skilled Lead HSE Advisor in Chelmsford, responsible for guiding HSE practices and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will report to the UK HSE Manager and oversee team development and line management.

The role involves client-facing responsibilities within the Energy Transmission sector, focusing initially on Early Contractor Involvement contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience in HSE function, ideally in the EPC environment.
• Excellent knowledge of general HSE regulatory requirements – Scotland.
• Fluency in English – both written and spoken.
• Environmental experience.
• Incident investigation experience.
• Team management skills.
• Customer facing experience.
• Chartered Member of IOSH or IIRSM.
• NEBOSH Diploma or working towards an environmental qualification – IEMA.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HSE risk identification and controls are applied across Linxon operations.
• Drive behavioural change to continuously improve HSE performance.
• Develop and maintain sustainability including environmental measures.
• Interface with teams on environmental compliance.
• Create and maintain health and safety plans.
• Conduct regular site inspections.
