Job summary

Linxon, based in Middleton, Heysham, is seeking a Lead HSE Advisor to manage Health, Safety and Environmental aspects of projects in the Energy Transmission sector. The role involves significant interaction with clients and requires extensive knowledge of HSE legislation.

The successful candidate will oversee risk controls, ensure compliance, and enhance HSE performance through initiatives and training. Candidates must have relevant experience in HSE, particularly in an EPC environment, and must possess strong team management skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in the EPC environment is essential for the HSE function.
• Knowledge of HSE regulatory requirements specific to Scotland is crucial.
• Fluency in English is required, both written and spoken.
• Experience in incident investigation is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HSE risk identification and controls are applied across operations.
• Drive behavioral change to improve HSE performance.
• Develop and maintain sustainability and environmental mitigation measures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure timely closure of actions.

Skills

Experience in HSE function ideally in the EPC environment

Excellent knowledge of general HSE regulatory requirements - Scotland

Fluency in English - both written and spoken

Environmental experience

Incident Investigation experience

Team management skills

Customer Facing experience

Chartered Member of IOSH or IIRSM

NEBOSH Diploma or working towards

Environmental qualification – IEMA

Quality Lead auditor – ISO 9001, 45001, 14001 (desirable)
