Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc in Peterhead seeks a Senior Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager to lead HS&E across the operational footprint. You will drive policy implementation, coordinate resources, and support bid activities while ensuring compliance and continuous improvement in safety performance.

The role requires extensive health and safety expertise, CDM knowledge, and a track record of leading teams in a construction or similar environment.

Qualifications

Must have leadership and support experience for operational teams.
Detailed knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations and guidance.
Construction industry experience and CDM knowledge advantageous.
Corporate IOSH membership or working towards membership.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day HS&E resources to support Operations and implement policy across areas of responsibility.
Allocate and deploy HS&E resources; collect and use data to support risk-based scheduling.
Support work winning and bid support for operational teams as required.
Oversee inspection and audit programs to ensure compliance with company requirements.
Fulfil incident reporting and KPI requirements and act as incident lead when needed.
Collaborate with Project Director/Head of Operations to review HS&E performance using lagging and leading indicators.
