Job summary

The Cumming Group is a London-based international project and cost management consultancy seeking an experienced HR Manager. You will lead day-to-day HR, provide guidance to Directors, resolve employee issues, manage absence, performance, disciplinary and grievances, and ensure policy accuracy and legislative compliance.

You will manage Workday records, benefits enrollment, promotions and pay reviews, while collaborating with payroll and supporting recruitment onboarding and training.

Qualifications

• Degree education required, ideally in a relevant field.
• CIPD / other equivalent qualifications are essential.
• Proven experience in a HR role at manager level.

Responsibilities

• Answer employee queries about people or HR issues and resolve them.
• Provide guidance to Directors and the Management Team.
• Assist Senior HR Director on projects to grow knowledge and experience.
• Record absence and sickness and manage attendance issues.
• Handle performance, disciplinary and grievance matters.
• Review and update company policies to ensure legal conformity.
• Work with payroll to pass starters/leavers, pay awards, overtime and benefits.
• Support in HR initiatives including wellbeing and development groups.
• Lead continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and docs.
• Keep up to date with employment law and best practice.
• Liaise with Directors on concerns and staff welfare; attend meetings as required.
• Attend and present HR updates at Business Review Meetings.
• Line manage HR Administrator roles to ensure productivity.
