As the Senior HRBP, you'll build partnerships with senior stakeholders, becoming their trusted advisor, as you lead the charge in driving employee engagement, and shaping a workplace culture that's inclusive, values-led, and built for high performance. You will play a central part in shaping organisational values and ensuring they are embedded throughout the employee experience. It's a chance to influence, innovate, and embed meaningful change.

This is a maternity cover contract for approximately 12 months. You will be home-based, with the occasional requirement to travel to Birmingham and Belfast.

What you'll be doing:
- Lead the people strategy within the HAAS business area, underpinning business objectives to enable organisational change
- Challenge and influence SMT, acting as a coach and trusted partner
- Be the HR lead on larger scale and complex HR projects such as business change and organisational design transformation
- Lead engagement, diversity and inclusion activities
- Support the HRBP to ensure effective delivery of HR calendar events including pay review, HR audits etc.
- Remain abreast of market trends and functional best practices and work collaboratively with the Head of HR and centres of excellence, supporting them to ensure that activity is aligned to divisional strategy and activity. Ensuring that we actively attract and recruit the best candidates - measured by retention rates.
- Use business MI and data effectively to provide insight to the people agenda and inform decision making
- Provide a focus on resource plans, skills development, succession and engagement
- Develop innovative solutions to very complex issues.
- Lead cultural change initiatives to support the Employee value proposition (EVP), working closely with the HR/Reward team.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of culture and engagement programmes, drive and embed action plans initiated from our people survey results
- Chair and own the monthly People Board ensuring feeds from supply chain partners & working directly with our clients DWP & DfC. Reviewing Engagement initiatives and how they feed in to the overall people plan, working collaboratively with HR.
What we're looking for:- Specialised professional recognized as an expert in their discipline, or manager of a team of professionals with full management authority
- Strong technical HR experience
- Advocate for working collaboratively across the HR community to strengthen reputation and its relationship with the business
- Ability to coach and advise leadership to empower employees and build high-performing teams
- Leads by example by demonstrating the Capita purpose, values, behaviours and code of conduct
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills with the ability to build trust
- Strong people management and relationship building skills to influence key stakeholders and leadership
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present clear, well-structured reports and briefs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and detail oriented
- Ability to guide others in resolving complex issues in specialized area and serves as best practice/quality resource
About HAAS:HAAS is a new service that brings together existing assessment services, for disabled people and people with health conditions, under a single provider in each geographical region. This will make accessing support simpler and easier for some of society's most vulnerable people. HAAS is the successor to the Department for Work and Pensions' Personal Independence Payment contracts, which Capita has held since 2013. Capita will deliver assessments for Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Work Capability Assessments (WCA) as well as a number of Specialist Benefits (SB).
