Valaris plc in Aberdeen seeks an experienced HR professional to act as a trusted consultant to management and employees within designated client groups. The role focuses on counselling, performance management, personnel movement and exit interviews while advancing standardized HR processes across the organization.
The position requires CIPD qualification and at least five years of progressive HR experience, including experience in a matrixed environment.
Keeps abreast of changes in the business and proactively counsels client groups on potential impacts on the workplace and the workforce.
Primary point of contact with HR for management and employees within designated client group.
Acts as an HR consultant and advises clients on various employee issues such as employee counselling, performance management, personnel movement, and exit interviews.
Works towards standardization of processes and practices in all areas of HR delivery.
Facilitates the client’s talent management processes (performance management, succession planning, career development planning) such that the client is provided with prepared, qualified internal candidates and provides employees with career growth opportunities.
Liaises with compensation, recruiting, global mobility, and payroll departments to assist clients with various personnel needs and movements.
Supports delivery and execution of workforce planning, staffing, and recruitment efforts.
Ensures accurate Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records within client group by actively coordinating HR data management activities.
Maintains compliance within client group with all applicable regulations concerning employment.
Establishes HR visibility and fosters a positive employee-relations environment within the client group via field visits and client leadership team participation.
Resolves and/or responds to employee issues as capable or brokers service from appropriate HR resource for resolution.
Assists client management with employee counselling, coaching, terminations, and investigations of alleged harassment, discrimination, or other inappropriate workplace behaviour.
Facilitates special projects as assigned within client group.
Travels, where permissible, to visit assigned offshore units.
