Job summary

Ysgol Harri Tudur / Henry Tudor School in Pembrokeshire seeks a Senior HR Assistant to join the school’s HR team. The post is Grade 7 with a pro rata salary of £33,119 to £36,581 for 37 hours/week, term time only plus 4 weeks in school holidays.

The role involves complex HR/pay responsibilities, attendance, and safeguarding duties. The successful candidate will provide staff management, oversee payroll-related processes, and produce detailed HR reports while supporting staff across the school.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR/payroll processes within an educational setting.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills for reporting and advisory work.
• Ability to manage staff attendance, disciplinary matters and safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Personnel management for all staff.
• Lead for staff cover and Pay and Personnel issues.
• Organise and supervise administrative systems for cover and personnel tasks.
• Line manage support staff, oversee training and delegation.
• Manage attendance/absence/sickness and refer to Occupational Health as needed.
• Assist with disciplinary/capability processes and absence reviews.
• Produce reports on Pay and HR data and respond to complex correspondence.
• Handle pay-related correspondence and information systems.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
