Job summary

HM Revenue and Customs is seeking four HR Expert Advice Service Caseworkers in the Manchester area to provide specialist guidance on complex HR matters within policies and guidance. The role supports formal HR processes with awareness of informal resolution, adapting to a change programme to improve efficiency and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Provide expert advice on complex HR formal processes including dismissal and litigation.
• Manage sensitive and complex HR cases with sound judgement.
• Build relationships with managers and stakeholders to navigate difficult conversations.
• Apply HR policies and procedures to support decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice to employees and managers on complex HR formal processes, up to and including dismissal and, where required, formal litigation.
• Manage a range of sensitive and complex HR cases, driving them forward using sound judgement to support timely progression and resolution.
• Build effective relationships with managers and stakeholders, navigating difficult conversations and encouraging open, respectful communication.
• Support employees and managers to resolve workplace issues using a range of dispute resolution approaches to achieve positive outcomes.
