Job summary

Whitehall Resources Limited is seeking an experienced HPC Engineer for an elite engineering organisation in the East Midlands. This is a predominantly onsite role requiring commuting distance.

You will own the HPC platform, drive improvements, and ensure the organisation derives maximum value from the cluster. Strong Linux, PBS/Slurm/LSF experience, and excellent stakeholder communication are essential, with occasional out-of-hours work.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HPC Engineer.
• Strong hands-on Linux experience including administration and configuring HPC clusters.
• Experience with PBS or Slurm/LSF.
• Proven ownership of HPC platform (support, configuration, design, solution offering).
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with senior level stakeholders.
• Occasional out-of-hours work.

Responsibilities

• Own the HPC platform, drive improvements and ensure best value from the cluster.
• Hands-on administration, maintenance and troubleshooting of HPC environments.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.
