Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Strategy and Policy Officer to progress development, implementation, monitoring and review of housing policies and plans. You will analyse housing issues, prepare high-quality reports, and work with senior managers and partners to drive improvements across housing and homelessness services.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the social housing sector.
• Knowledge of housing legislation and policy implications.
• Ability to prepare high-quality reports and briefing papers.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyse and evaluate housing policies and strategies at local and national levels.
• Prepare reports, briefing papers and strategic documentation on housing, property and homelessness.
• Develop responses on behalf of the Resource and the Council.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders including senior managers and partner organisations.
