Job summary

London Borough of Lewisham is seeking an experienced stock investment manager to lead major housing investment programmes across our housing portfolio. This senior role sits in the Stock Investment and Asset Management service and includes managing maintenance, refurbishment and building safety programmes, with projects up to £70m.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, drive cost control, ensure regulatory compliance, engage residents and leaseholders, and provide strategic support to the Head

Qualifications

• Experience leading housing, asset management or construction capital programmes.
• Strong leadership, financial acumen and stakeholder management.
• Ability to deliver complex capital investment on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage teams delivering major planned maintenance, refurbishment and capital investment programmes across the Council's housing stock.
• Oversee delivery from design and procurement through to construction, completion and final account, ensuring cost control and value for money.
• Lead Section 20 consultation processes and engage residents and leaseholders effectively.
• Ensure projects comply with building safety legislation, health and safety requirements, building regulations and Council policies.
• Build and maintain relationships with residents, contractors, consultants, elected members and other stakeholders.
• Manage contractors, consultants and professional teams to achieve high standards of quality, cost, programme and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor programme performance, risk, compliance and governance with clear reporting to senior management.
• Support development of long-term investment strategies, asset management plans and service improvements.
