Job summary

Worcester City Council’s Housing & Homelessness Service is expanding with several new roles to prevent homelessness, reduce rough sleeping and support vulnerable tenants. This Senior Housing & Homelessness Officer position offers an opportunity to shape service delivery from day one, across operations, policy development and multi-agency coordination.

You will use expert knowledge of homelessness, housing options and relevant legislation to provide operational support and lead on complex cases,

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to Officers and Managers to ensure effective, efficient and legally compliant delivery of Housing & Homelessness Service.
• Lead on complex homelessness cases requiring significant multi-agency coordination.
• Support managers with statutory homelessness reviews and housing register appeals.
