Housekeeper Position

Responsibilities of a Housekeeper

1. Keeping the home environment clean, tidy, and hazard-free, including cleaning equipment and safe waste disposal, following worksheet instructions for daily, weekly, and less frequent tasks.
2. Overseeing all duties of the domestic and laundry staff team.
3. Working as part of the domestic and laundry teams as needed.
4. Managing duty rotas for domestic and laundry staff and preparing timesheets for payroll.
5. Under the supervision of the Home Manager, conducting annual staff appraisals and supporting staff development plans.
6. Organizing materials and supplies for cleaning and laundry, mindful of budget constraints.
7. Operating an efficient stock control system.
8. Ensuring adherence to Infection Control policies and COSHH regulations.
9. Thoroughly cleaning vacated rooms for re-occupation.
