Job summary

Eton College is seeking a Hospitality Chef on a maternity cover basis to lead the delivery of exceptional food and hospitality for school events. You will manage all aspects from planning and production to service and post-event clear-down, ensuring top-quality standards across formal dinners and guest functions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a senior chef in high-quality hospitality or kitchen environments.
• Strong culinary skills with evidence of high-end hospitality or event catering.
• Commitment to fresh, seasonal, and nutritious food.
• Formal culinary qualification preferred (NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality food for hospitality events (dinners, receptions, open days).
• Produce restaurant-standard dishes reflecting the school’s standards.
• Collaborate with catering management to design bespoke hospitality menus.
• Maintain presentation and consistency across hospitality service.
• Work with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health regulations at all times.
• Maintain clean, safe kitchen environment and equipment.
• Contribute ideas for seasonal menus and innovative offerings.
