Job summary

Camden Council’s Adults Commissioning Team is seeking a Commissioning Manager to lead a portfolio including home care, care homes, reablement and related services in Camden. You will co‑design solutions with residents and providers, lead quality assurance, and drive a strength‑based approach to care and support at home.

The role requires collaboration across health, social care, voluntary and community sectors, with budget oversight and involvement in innovative and modernisation projects.

Qualifications

• Experience of commissioning or delivering services in health or social care may be desirable but not essential.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent; professional qualification in health or social care desirable.
• Experience working collaboratively with adult social care partnerships to improve outcomes and drive service improvement.
• Experience writing and presenting reports to inform actions and future planning.
• Experience of successful project management and delivering outcomes within timescales.
• Experience using data and insights to inform decision making in projects.
• Ability to communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders and build support.
• Ability to nurture relationships and maintain networks for collaborative working.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the local home care network and manage existing contracts.
• Ensure quality assurance and continuous service improvement across home care services.
• Manage budget where appropriate and drive innovation and modernisation projects.
• Deliver high‑quality care and support for adults in Camden with coproduction and resident engagement.
• Co‑produce commissioning solutions with residents, providers and colleagues across health and care.
