Job summary

Pertemps Bond in London is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead major highways, transport, public realm and active travel programmes as the Council’s senior client representative. You will steer projects through feasibility, business cases, design, procurement and delivery, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and reporting to Members and committees. Hybrid work is available; umbrella rate £350–£400 per day.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading major capital infrastructure projects.
• Experience delivering projects in local authority/public sector.
• Experience managing substantial budgets and externally funded programmes.
• Strong governance and risk management; reporting to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead highways and transport programmes of high strategic importance.
• Manage full lifecycle: feasibility, business case, design, procurement and delivery.
• Maintain programmes, risk registers and governance; deliver within budgets and timescales.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders across partners.
• Represent the Council to Members, residents, businesses and TfL/ government bodies.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for senior officers and committees.
• Commission and manage consultants; lead procurement activities as needed.
• Oversee capital budgets and funding claims; monitor financial performance.
