Job summary

Five Point Recruitment is seeking a Structures Engineer focused on highway structures in Manchester. You will lead planning, coordination and delivery of maintenance programmes and oversee bridge inspections.

The role requires experience in highway structures engineering, including inspection, assessment, maintenance and design, with exposure to local authority or consultancy environments. This is a full-time, temporary contract based in Manchester.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
• MSc in a relevant engineering discipline or HND in Highway Structures Engineering.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with a professional body.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of highway structures maintenance programmes.
• Manage and coordinate annual bridge inspection programmes.
• Undertake and oversee inspections of highway structures to required standards.
• Provide technical input into bridge maintenance and highway development proposals.
• Monitor budgets, programmes and technical compliance.
