Job summary

Rochdale Borough Council is seeking a Senior Supervisor to lead our in-house highway operational delivery team. The role involves managing reactive and planned maintenance, providing leadership, direction and line management to the crew, and delivering timely objectives with performance reviews.

You will oversee revenue maintenance programmes, road reconstruction and drainage works, highway resurfacing, and winter service delivery, while maintaining strong Health & Safety practice and reporting

Qualifications

• Experience leading in-house highway teams and delivering maintenance works.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation relating to highways construction.
• Ability to set objectives, conduct performance reviews and develop succession plans.
• Proven capability to collate data for reporting and drive improvements.

Responsibilities
