Job summary

Colbern Limited is seeking an experienced Highway Maintenance Officer in Huntingdon to oversee and manage highway maintenance works, ensuring safe networks for communities. The role requires reactive, preventative, and cyclical schemes, delivered in collaboration with the Cambridgeshire County Council.

You will inspect the network, document findings, and coordinate with local communities and elected members.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of highways and transport experience.
• Experience coordinating reactive maintenance.
• Ability to engage with elected members proactively.
• Must drive and have access to a vehicle.
• Attend a Cambridgeshire depot at least 4 days per week.
• Qualified Highway Safety Inspector with up-to-date certificate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage highway maintenance works to keep the network safe.
• Implement reactive, preventative and cyclical maintenance schemes.
• Engage with local communities to align works with local needs.
• React to incidents and represent the Council on the network.
• Inspect the highway network and document findings in a structured system.
